Goldberg Fires Vicious Shot At Gunther On WWE RAW

Ahead of his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event, Goldberg sends a direct and aggressive message to World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

With his career-ending match just weeks away, Goldberg sat down with Michael Cole during this past Monday’s WWE RAW to send a final, intense message to Gunther. Referencing the World Heavyweight Champion’s actions at WWE Bad Blood, Goldberg stated he felt disrespected by the encounter.

He concluded the interview with a blunt and aggressive promise regarding their upcoming title match.

“I’m going to beat the fuck out of you,” Goldberg stated.

The animosity stems from an incident at the Bad Blood premium live event in October 2024. During the show, Gunther directed insults at Goldberg and his son, Gage, who were seated in the crowd. This prompted Goldberg to jump the barricade and confront the champion before security intervened, igniting the deeply personal feud.

The path to their collision was solidified on the June 16 edition of RAW when Goldberg returned to television. He confronted Gunther in the ring and issued a direct challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, vowing to finish what started in Atlanta.

That challenge has now set the stage for a high-stakes title bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. WWE’s promotional material has heavily hinted that this will be Goldberg’s final outing, branding the encounter as “Goldberg’s Last Ride.” The match presents Gunther with an opportunity to solidify his reign by potentially retiring a legend in his own hometown.
