O’Shea Jackson Jr., an actor and rapper, has publicly detailed a comprehensive storyline proposal for WWE, centering on CM Punk. Shared via X/Twitter, the scenario commences with CM Punk securing the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase.
Jackson Jr.’s concept further develops into a dramatic championship encounter between CM Punk and John Cena, set in Boston, which he frames as Cena’s conclusive match. A pivotal aspect of this imagined narrative involves CM Punk thwarting Cena’s attempt to retire as Undisputed WWE Champion, creating a direct parallel and role reversal to their 2011 Money in the Bank meeting. The proposal also incorporates Seth Rollins posing a consistent challenge for Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Title, a dynamic Jackson Jr. suggests would continue until the return of Roman Reigns.
Punk wins money in the bank. Seth having to watch over his shoulder every time he thinks about taking the title off Jey. That is until Roman comes back and has to deal with him. So then we can get Punk vs Cena in Boston. This time the roles reversed and Punk has to stop John from leaving the company with the WWE TITLE.
This speculative storyline from Jackson Jr. surfaced as WWE made announcements regarding CM Punk’s participation in the upcoming Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
On the most recent edition of SmackDown, it was announced that CM Punk is scheduled to compete against AJ Styles and El Grande Americano. This Triple Threat match will determine the final participant in the six-man Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
The field of competitors already confirmed for the ladder match includes Seth Rollins, Penta, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, and Andrade.
