The identity of Mariah May in WWE has been made official, with the former AEW standout being rebranded as Blake Monroe. The new name was confirmed during the June 10 broadcast of WWE NXT, where a stylish vignette introduced her persona to the audience.
The pre-taped segment fully embraced her “The Glamour” moniker, featuring Monroe in a luxurious setting with imagery of pearls, perfume, and lipstick. A voiceover consistently repeated the word “glamour” before culminating in the formal introduction:
WWE has never seen glamour quite like… Blake Monroe.
This official introduction builds upon her initial appearance from the week prior. On the June 3 edition of NXT, Monroe appeared on a balcony overlooking a chaotic brawl involving the top contenders in the women’s division. She confidently announced her arrival, declaring:

High Praise from a WWE Veteran
Monroe is already attracting significant praise from established talent within the company. During a June 9 appearance on Busted Open Radio, WWE veteran Natalya described the newcomer as the “total package.” Natalya commended Monroe’s resilience, referencing her history of wrestling through injuries like a broken nose, and specifically lauded her previous body of work.
That work includes a significant and successful run in AEW, where Monroe held the AEW Women’s World Championship. Her high-profile rivalry with Toni Storm was a central storyline for the promotion, which saw Monroe capture the title at All In London in August 2024 before a reign that concluded in early 2025.
With her new identity as Blake Monroe now cemented and her intentions made clear, the focus shifts to her impending in-ring action. The NXT women’s division, led by champion Jacy Jayne, is now on notice as “The Glamour” prepares to make her mark.
