The show kicks off with images of the Lucas Oil Stadium, packed with over 60,000 fans in attendance. We now see earlier arrivals of top names such as Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Gunther, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Bayley, and other key figures of the night.
Back in the arena, Stephanie McMahon’s music hits. Greeted with a huge ovation from the crowd, Stephanie steps onto the main stage and welcomes everyone. She thanks the audience, emphasizing the global Netflix broadcast. Stephanie tells the Indianapolis crowd that this will be the greatest Royal Rumble of all time. A spectacular fireworks display erupts, bringing the segment to a close.
We now see a video narrated by Pat McAfee, recounting the history of WWE’s Royal Rumble.
Back at Lucas Oil Stadium, Alicia Taylor announces that the first match of the night will be the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Women’s Royal Rumble Match
– Flair eliminates Perez last, securing the victory.
With this win, Charlotte Flair joins the elite list of stars who have won the Royal Rumble twice, becoming the first woman to achieve this feat. Flair now secures her spot in the main event of WrestleMania 41.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)
– #DIY wins the first fall.
– Motor City Machine Guns take the second fall.
– Following interference from the Street Profits, who attack MCMG, Ciampa and Gargano hit a Meet in the Middle on Sabin, followed by a pinfall.
After the match, the Street Profits also attack #DIY and raise the tag team titles before leaving ringside.
Undisputed WWE Championship – Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens
– After slamming Owens onto a ladder with an Alabama Slam, Rhodes climbs to the top and retrieves the championship, securing the victory.
Sami Zayn, who appeared during the match, helps Owens recover outside the ring while Rhodes celebrates.
