WWE has reportedly set its sights on the AEW tag team Private Party, composed of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen. The interest comes as the duo’s contracts with their current promotion are expected to expire imminently.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the team’s agreements are “up very soon.” Further information indicates that WWE held “at least preliminary interest” in signing Quen and Kassidy as of early June 2025, a point noted before the news of their contract status became more widely known. It is not currently public knowledge whether AEW has extended new offers to the team or if WWE has initiated a formal approach.
Private Party’s last televised appearance for AEW was in January 2025. Despite their absence from AEW programming, their time away has not been attributed to any injury. The team has been active on the independent circuit, with their most recent match taking place in March for the promotion House of Glory.
The potential move would follow an established pattern of talent transitioning from AEW to WWE. Recently, performers such as Ricky Starks and Ethan Page have joined WWE, securing championships on the NXT brand.
