Jonathan Coachman has voiced strong objections towards WWE and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings, following reports that WrestleMania 42 might be relocated. The core of his criticism, shared via social media, addresses the potential shift of the major event from its previously announced New Orleans location to Las Vegas, a move Coachman attributes to financial motivations.
Coachman took to Twitter after information surfaced indicating WWE was nearing a decision to hold WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. He stated, “TKO does it again. Looking to collect every last dime they can get their hands [on]—now they will even back out of an announcement of their biggest event due to a bigger check being put on the table.”
He further questioned the rationale by drawing a parallel, asking, “Can you imagine the NFL announcing the Super Bowl and saying sorry San Diego, we will give you the Pro Bowl and a Super Bowl to be named later?”

In a subsequent message, Coachman highlighted the potential for consecutive WrestleMania events in the same city, noting the presence of TKO and UFC headquarters there. “I am hearing WWE going back to Vegas for Mania for the 2nd straight year. TKO and UFC HQ located there. What are we doing? I will ask the same question. Can you imagine the NFL hosting the Super Bowl in the same city 2 years in a row,” he posted.
WrestleMania 42 was originally slated for April 11–12, 2026, in New Orleans, an announcement that involved an on-air appearance by The Rock. However, WWE and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation later issued a joint communication confirming the event would “move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”

Should the Las Vegas relocation be finalized, current information suggests WrestleMania 42 would take place on April 18–19 at Allegiant Stadium. This is the same venue where WrestleMania 41 took place this year.
