As the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase for the second time in his career, Seth Rollins possesses the power to challenge for a world title at any moment, and he may have already tipped his hand about his intended target.
During the recent SummerSlam Kickoff Show, Rollins and Becky Lynch encountered a fan dressed in a full Rollins-inspired costume, complete with a ladder and a replica briefcase. Rollins advised his look-alike to cash in the contract on the current Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, a comment that could be interpreted as a direct hint of his own strategy.
This potential reveal follows a more direct confrontation between the two superstars at a recent Fanatics Fest event. During a segment where talent could perform their entrances on a catwalk, Rollins interrupted Cena’s walk to the stage. The two men stood face-to-face before Cena departed, only for CM Punk to appear and get into an altercation with Rollins.

Cena later addressed the incident at the SummerSlam Kickoff Show, downplaying the severity of the encounter while acknowledging that something did occur.
“I think you are throwing around the word ‘altercation’ a bit loosely. I was enjoying myself at the Fanatics Fest at the WWE entrance way that they have for us, but I just wasn’t the only one enjoying myself. If you want to see what I am talking about, go watch the video.”
While Cena’s immediate focus is his scheduled Undisputed WWE Championship defense against CM Punk at Night of Champions, Rollins has clearly inserted himself into the champion’s orbit.
