The psychological warfare between Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross will culminate at Night of Champions, as a match between the two was made official during this past Monday’s episode of WWE RAW. The announcement followed a physical altercation that saw Zayn finally snap after weeks of manipulation from Kross.
The confrontation began when Kross, accompanied by Scarlett, once again targeted Zayn. He continued his long-running narrative, insisting that Zayn’s “good guy” persona is the very thing preventing him from reaching the top of WWE and becoming a World Champion. This theme has been central to Kross’s taunts, particularly after Zayn’s loss to Randy Orton in the King of the Ring semifinals.
Tired of the repeated verbal jabs, Zayn responded with force. He delivered a sharp slap and followed it with a clean hook, laying Kross out in the middle of the ring.
Following the attack, Zayn revealed the encounter was more than just a spontaneous brawl. He announced that he had already spoken with WWE official Adam Pearce, leading to their match being formally set for the upcoming premium live event.
The one-on-one contest will take place at Night of Champions on June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, moving their deeply personal rivalry from backstage corridors and interview segments into the squared circle.
