The card for WWE Night of Champions has undergone a significant change, with a newly sanctioned Street Fight adding a layer of violence to the event. Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley will now collide in the high-stakes match.
The conflict ignited on the latest episode of WWE RAW when Rodriguez called Ripley to the ring, seeking retribution for Ripley’s previous interference in a Queen of the Ring tournament match. The confrontation quickly devolved into a physical brawl that spilled around the ringside area.
With assistance from Roxanne Perez, Rodriguez gained the upper hand. The segment culminated with Rodriguez driving Ripley through a table with a Tejana Bomb, leaving the former champion incapacitated in the ring.

Furious over the attack, Ripley later stormed into the office of Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and demanded a match against Rodriguez. Pearce obliged the request and made the contest official for Night of Champions, adding the Street Fight stipulation to sanction the intensity of their rivalry.
This newly added bout takes the place of the previously advertised Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles, which was pulled from the lineup earlier in the show.
