John Cena Confronts Fan For Recording Without Permission
John Cena addressed a fan who was filming him without permission at a recent event, later returning to apologize for the chaotic environment.
Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena was involved in a notable interaction with a fan during the recent Fanatics Fest event in New York City. The incident, captured on video, involved a fan recording the champion in a backstage area without his permission.
In the video that later circulated on social media, Cena initially approached the individual and calmly used the moment to address the issue of being filmed without permission.
“I’m a big fan of consent, right? So, if you would like to take a video, I’m a big fan of consent,” Cena stated.
Following the initial exchange, Cena returned to the same fan to clarify his position, apologizing for walking away previously and citing the hectic nature of the environment. He then offered to accommodate the fan’s request for a photo or video.
“I’m sorry for walking away from you. Just take a deep breath and I feel like I’m in a tough situation. It’s cool. It’s kind of chaos back here. I’ll give you whatever you want as long as you ask. I appreciate you,” Cena explained.
The Fanatics Fest event also served as a promotional kickoff for the upcoming two-night SummerSlam premium live event, scheduled for August 2025.
