Ludwig Kaiser Addresses His Surprise Return to WWE RAW

Ludwig Kaiser has returned to WWE programming, appearing during a backstage segment on Monday's RAW after a two-month absence.

After nearly two months away from WWE programming, Ludwig Kaiser made his return during this past Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.

His appearance came during the aftermath of a physical altercation backstage. Following a loss to Bron Breakker, Penta attacked Chad Gable, culminating with Penta injuring Gable’s arm. As The Creed Brothers tended to the fallen Gable, Kaiser was seen observing the scene from a distance before walking away. This was his first time on WWE television since early May.

Following the broadcast, Kaiser took to Instagram with a message.

Whos gonna pick the 1/1?! Let me know! #LK #EuropeanElegance.

Kaiser’s return places him back on a brand now dominated by his former Imperium leader, Gunther, who holds the World Heavyweight Title. The faction was put on hold by Gunther, which led to Kaiser officially splitting from Giovanni Vinci with an attack on an episode of RAW in April 2024. Since becoming a singles competitor, Kaiser had been largely absent from television.

Reports during his time away indicated that while he was on the active roster and not injured, the creative team did not have a storyline for him. His last televised match was a victory over Tyler Bate on the May 5 edition of WWE Main Event. Earlier this year, Kaiser worked as a fan favorite during a WWE live event tour in his home country of Germany, though he remained a heel on television.

The Undertaker praised Kaiser on his podcast in February, stating the German superstar is “going to be special.” That same month, Kaiser expressed his own high hopes for 2025, promising it would be a breakout year for his solo career.
