Seth Rollins’ WWE Money in the Bank Briefcase Potentially at Stake Against Injured Rival

An injury to LA Knight, following an attack by Seth Rollins' faction, has fueled speculation about a potential challenge for the Money in the Bank briefcase.

The ongoing conflict between Seth Rollins and LA Knight took a significant turn following recent events on WWE programming, leading to a storyline injury that has left Knight sidelined indefinitely.

The situation escalated on a recent edition of SmackDown, where Knight faced Bronson Reed. The match concluded in a disqualification when Bron Breakker, an ally of Rollins, interfered. This prompted a post-match assault where both Reed and Breakker attacked Knight, with Reed delivering multiple Tsunami splashes from the top rope. Following the attack, it was announced on WWE RAW by Michael Cole that Knight had sustained multiple injuries and would be out of action indefinitely.

During a promo on that same episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins addressed the incident, stating that LA Knight received what he deserved. Accompanied by his faction, which includes Paul Heyman, Breakker, and Reed, Rollins declared his “end game” for the roster and dismissed fan sentiment.

Despite the announced injuries, the situation is widely considered a storyline development. This has led to speculation that Knight could make a return to challenge Rollins, putting the Money in the Bank contract that Rollins won earlier this month on the line. A potential showdown at the upcoming Night of Champions premium live event has been discussed among observers.

However, the likelihood of such a match occurring at the event in Riyadh is considered low. The card for Night of Champions already features six announced matches, leaving little room for a last-minute addition of this magnitude.
