This interaction on WWE RAW potentially sets up a new program between Sheamus and Rusev. The two have a history, notably as members of The League of Nations, a faction formed in late 2015 that also included Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio, though the group was active for only a few months.
While no match between Sheamus and Rusev took place during this WWE RAW broadcast, their encounter has led to anticipation regarding a future singles match.
