Hechicero has officially confirmed he has a multi-year contract with AEW, without leaving Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

Appearing on Fox Sports Mexico’s All Elite Show, the Mexican wrestler explained he will continue working for both companies, in a deal considered historic for the current partnership between Tony Khan and Salvador Lutteroth. Tony Khan himself had already revealed in January that Hechicero, Máscara Dorada and Persephone were under dual contracts with AEW and CMLL.

“I am the first wrestler to have a multi-year dual contract, and I take that with a lot of responsibility, because it strengthens the alliance, the expansion of CMLL and, of course, the global dominance of AEW.”

The signing solidifies Hechicero’s presence on the AEW roster, where he has been a regular since his debut in January 2024, and has faced names like Bryan Danielson and Bandido. He is currently also part of the Don Callis Family.

It is important to note that Hechicero is experiencing one of the strongest moments of his career. In March, at Homenaje a Dos Leyendas, he defeated Claudio Castagnoli and won the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, a title he still carries in his recent appearances in AEW.

With that, Hechicero is expected to continue serving as one of the main bridges between AEW and CMLL, especially on special shows, joint events and matches involving the Don Callis Family.
