Masha Slamovich made her official MLW debut during Fightland, which streamed Thursday on Tubi. The show was taped September 12 at Festival Hall in Charleston, South Carolina.
Slamovich was introduced as the newest member of CONTRA and answered Lady Frost’s open challenge, picking up a win in her first MLW match.
Her arrival had been arranged months in advance, however. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the former TNA Knockouts World Champion signed with MLW in early July, and the plan all along was to put her in CONTRA and have her feud with Shotzi Blackheart.
This marks Slamovich’s first run under contract with a promotion since she left TNA at the end of 2025. That September, allegations of domestic violence involving her former partner, AKIRA, led TNA to open an internal investigation and pull her from its programming, including a Knockouts World Championship match at Victory Road.
Slamovich responded to the allegations at the time.
“I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out,” she said.
Her contract later expired, and TNA removed her from its official roster in December. To date, the company has not publicly disclosed the outcome of the investigation.
