Syko Stu, the ring name of Stuart Smith, is still recovering after the serious attack he suffered during a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles in August 2025.
According to TMZ Sports, Douglas Malo, the wrestler who helped stop the assault in the ring, said at the hospital that Stu was already conscious, alert, and able to communicate, despite injuries considered serious.
Days later, the family confirmed that Smith had been discharged and returned home. The update stated that the wrestler suffered a serious head injury, trauma to the jaw, a fracture of the maxillary bone, and other facial injuries, beginning a long recovery.
In October, Malo spoke about the case again and indicated that Syko Stu is unlikely to return to the ring after everything that happened. According to him, even though Smith is progressing well, the physical damage caused by the attack makes any return to wrestling unlikely.
Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested in September and later pleaded not guilty to the assault charges filed by Los Angeles prosecutors.
The case remains one of the most shocking episodes on the American independent circuit in recent years. For now, Syko Stu remains out of the ring, while Raja is still dealing with the legal consequences of the attack.
