WWE could be looking at additional main roster departures in the months ahead, following confirmation on Thursday that Ilja Dragunov has left the company.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that several main roster contracts are set to expire in October. He added that the talents in question have had little to no presence on WWE television.
“There are a few other main roster contracts of people who haven’t been on TV much coming due in October.”
Alvarez did not name the specific talents involved. There is also no indication at this point that WWE has opted against renewing those deals or that the wrestlers themselves have decided to move on.
The report surfaced just hours after Dragunov’s departure became public. The former NXT Champion’s contract expired and he exited WWE after the two sides had discussed a possible extension as recently as June.
Dragunov had not worked a match for the company since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 17. He also held the NXT UK Championship and the United States Championship during his WWE run.
Bayley and Rey Mysterio are also worth noting, as both have contracts known to expire at the end of 2026. That said, there is nothing to suggest that either is on their way out.
WWE already underwent a significant roster overhaul earlier this year in the wake of WrestleMania 42, with a combination of outright releases and contracts that were allowed to expire.
