WWE NXT opens with an In Memoriam for Benjamin Satterley, known in WWE as Neville.
In a prerecorded video, Robert Stone tells Grayson Waller that Mason Rook is out indefinitely. Waller will defend his title in an open challenge to the NXT men’s roster.
NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Zaria (c) vs. Thea Hail
– Zaria hits Hail with a F5, followed by the pinfall.
Backstage, Nathan Frazer praises Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno but warns they won’t beat Fraxiom. Axiom says he’d be honored to face The Wagner Brothers in the tournament. The Vanity Project interrupt to mock Dar and Moreno ahead of their first-round match and question whether The Wagner Brothers can reach the finals.
Myles Borne says losing both titles proved Ethan Page right, leading him to turn on Tavion Heights and pursue a singles career. Borne accuses fans of supporting him out of pity because he’s deaf, declares himself the favorite instead of the underdog and tells them to go to hell.
Robert Stone promises Lizzy Rain an opportunity soon and wishes Chazz “Starboy” Hall and Mini Vikingo luck ahead of their tag team debut.
Backstage, Grayson Waller says Mason Rook’s medical absence spared him a loss and welcomes any challenger for his title.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Mini Vikingo & Chazz Hall vs. BirthRight (Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Uriah Connors)
– Vikingo hits Lorenzo with a Phoenix 630, followed by the pinfall.
BirthRight attack the winners, but Zilla Fatu makes the save and lays out Channing with a pop-up Samoan drop and Triple Z. Fatu vows to take out BirthRight one by one and announces he’ll challenge for the NXT Title in tonight’s main event.
Backstage, Cruz Montana plans to answer the NXT Title open challenge and vows to finish what Dion Lennox started. He defends his parents and says his past fuels him to give his daughter a better life.
Zaria finds her locker room filled with photos from her theater days and a princess costume. As the other women laugh, she says she’s no longer that person.
Kelani Jordan says she’ll choose her challenger for Halloween Havoc. Robert Stone announces a 25-woman battle royal next week featuring talent from NXT, RAW, SmackDown, EVOLVE, AAA and TNA, with the winner earning an NXT Women’s Title match. Reina Volcan attacks Jordan from behind and declares herself an entrant.
Backstage, Naraku tells Robert Stone he’ll answer tonight’s NXT Title open challenge and deal with Shiloh Hill after winning the title. Saquon Shugars says he’ll also answer the challenge and warns Naraku not to underestimate Hill. Naraku laughs off the warning.
