Another episode of WWE NXT is getting underway. Right off the bat, we see Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox arriving at tonight’s venue.
Tony D’Angelo kicks off the show, but he’s quickly interrupted by Grayson Waller. The NXT Champion says he knew this moment would come eventually. He says he still has some demons to slay, and Tony is one of them.
D’Angelo says Waller really does hold a grudge, but that he’s always cared more about being popular on social media than about chasing titles. Waller says he’s changed. D’Angelo fires back, calling Waller a hypocrite who’ll always be nothing more than an attention seeker.
As the segment winds down, D’Angelo points out that some of the stars from the NXT 2.0 era are now thriving on the main roster, and that only two of them are still here. Waller says the NXT Title means more to him than it ever did to Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams or Oba Femi.
Finally, D’Angelo vows to end Waller at Halloween Havoc, saying he’s going to take him into deep water.
Backstage, Izzi Dame walks into the women’s locker room carrying a box. She’s quickly confronted by Diggs and Skylar Raye, who question the way she’s been acting toward Zaria. Dame makes it clear she has no interest in the Women’s North American Title, only in exposing the real Zaria. She says that, if she has to, she’ll take out distractions like Diggs.
A vignette airs for Chantel Monroe, hyping her upcoming arrival in NXT.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Quarterfinal Round Match: AAA World Tag Team Champions The Wagner Brothers (Galeno and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.) vs. BirthRight (Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey)
– El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. hits Lexis with a Wagner Driver, and Galeno finishes things off with a diving splash for the pinfall.
Right after the match, Zilla Fatu hits the ring and levels Lexis, then plants Dempsey with a Samoan drop.
Backstage, Dion Lennox assures Osiris Griffin and Cutler James that he has a plan to make good on the promise he made to Cruz Montana. The three of them head off together to hash out the details.
In a vignette, Kam Hendrix calls himself the most complete athlete in NXT and says he’s the future.
Tavion Heights is in the ring to address everything that’s gone down between him and Myles Borne over the past few weeks. He brings up having a chair wrapped around his ankle. Heights admits he was wrong to trust Borne, but says he doesn’t make the same mistake twice. He closes by vowing to show the world who Borne really is.
Suddenly, Borne jumps Heights from behind and takes him down. The two brawl all over the building before spilling into the parking lot, where several officials pull them apart and break it up.
