WWE is offering $3,000 in hazard pay to members of the production crew who make the trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel on Saturday.
On Fightful Select, WrestleVotes reported that even the extra money wasn’t enough to get everyone on board, as several crew members chose not to make the trip.

“WWE is offering crew members $3,000 in hazard pay for this weekend’s trip to Saudi Arabia, @WrestleVotes on @FightfulSelect has learned. Several crew members have opted out of traveling to Riyadh despite the additional compensation.”
The most interesting part is that, back in June 2025, before Night of Champions, Fightful Select reported that WWE wrestlers would no longer receive bonuses for shows in Saudi Arabia. That’s because the money was now part of their contracts. So the production crew is not being paid the same way as WWE’s roster.
Despite the ongoing fighting in the Middle East, WWE is holding the show in Riyadh as planned, even after a missile attack at King Khalid International Airport. The attack killed 12 people and injured 309 others on October 10, which was four weeks to the day before the show.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE decided to bring a smaller group to Riyadh, and wrestlers not booked for the show won’t be required to travel. The show was moved from Riyadh Season Stadium, a temporary outdoor stadium, to The Venue, an indoor arena that can hold more than 8,000 fans, due to security concerns.
