CM Punk didn’t hide his frustration after losing to Roman Reigns in the main event of Night 2 of WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The moment was caught on video by a fan in attendance at Allegiant Stadium.
Punk entered the Showcase of the Immortals as World Heavyweight Champion, but walked out without the title after a nearly 34-minute match. Reigns hit multiple Spears to secure his seventh world championship reign in WWE.
The victory also ended a two-match losing streak for the OTC in WrestleMania main events. Right after the loss, a fan captured the moment the Second City Savior was slowly walking along ringside.
He then gave the fan a fist bump and headed toward the back. The wrestler’s body language made it clear how much the night’s result weighed on him.
During the match, Punk landed a low blow after distracting the referee. He followed it up with an Elbow Drop through the announce table, along with a devastating Go To Sleep. However, when the Straight Edge Superstar tried for a second GTS, he collapsed from exhaustion. That opened the door for Reigns to finish the match with a Spear.
With the win, Reigns captured his first world title since losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes.
