El Grande Americano has put the mask he wore at the La Noche de los Grandes special up for auction through Fanatics, with 100% of the proceeds going to Fundación Dr. Sonrisas.
The mask took on added significance after the major Mask vs. Mask match against the “Original” El Grande Americano at AAA’s event in Monterrey, Mexico. El Grande Americano won the match, forcing his rival to reveal his identity as Chad Gable.
The match closed the first night of the special and was treated as the peak of the rivalry between the two characters.

The story also drew attention beyond the traditional WWE and AAA audience. El País noted that the rivalry managed to connect elements of American pro wrestling with Mexican lucha libre, especially because of the symbolic weight of a mask vs. mask match in Mexico.
Fundación Dr. Sonrisas works to make dreams come true for children with advanced illnesses, while also running support programs for patients and their families, including food delivery, recreational activities, and help with medication, studies, prosthetics, and medical equipment.
With that, the mask is no longer just a collector’s item tied to one of the biggest moments from AAA’s recent run. It now carries significant charitable value as well.
