Add as a preferred source on Google El Grande Americano now has a date set for his return to AAA programming. After winning one of the most notable matches of his career, he will return to Mexico this Saturday, June 20.
WWE announced the appearance on social media, confirming that Americano will be part of the next episode of Lucha Libre AAA, which will take place in Mérida, Yucatán.

The appearance will mark Americano’s first time back in AAA since Noche de Los Grandes, which took place on May 30 at Arena Monterrey. At the event, he defeated the “Original” El Grande Americano in a violent Mask vs. Mask Match, forcing his rival to unmask.
Along with El Grande Americano, Saturday’s show will also feature Dominik Mysterio, the reigning AAA Mega Champion. Rey Mysterio, the new General Manager of AAA, will also make a major announcement during the episode.
It remains to be seen whether the celebration in Mérida will simply be a crowning moment for El Grande Americano, or whether AAA will already introduce his next major challenge.
