Grayson Waller continued his verbal shots at TNA after Tuesday’s NXT, where he appeared for the first time as NXT Champion.
In the show-closing segment, Waller ran down potential challengers and took aim at Cruz Montana, formerly Mike Santana in TNA, calling him good but only “TNA good.”
Speaking on Busted Open, Waller doubled down on the line and went after Brian Myers and the rest of the TNA roster.
“That’s such a good line. I know Brian Myers is gonna freak out. He was playing with his action figures and went, ‘Hey, that’s where I work.’ Put your action figures down, lad, and do something about it. All these little dweebs in TNA, what are you gonna do? You just tweet. I ain’t stressed about you. Let’s not worry about that company.”

5:47 PM · Sep 2, 2026Waller’s back-and-forth with TNA started when he returned to NXT on July 28. At the time, the Australian compared being TNA’s top name to being the best basketball player at a local YMCA.
Brian Myers fired back, saying the jab didn’t carry much weight from someone who’d been “sent back to developmental.” Moose added that Waller would be asking TNA for a job if WWE ever let him go.
Since then, Waller has risen to the top of NXT. He defeated Tony D’Angelo, Zilla Fatu, and Cruz Montana at Heatwave to win the NXT Championship.
Montana remains in the title picture. He’s part of a six-man match announced for next week that will begin determining Waller’s first challenger.
