Liv Morgan Reveals She Underwent Procedure After Suffering Serious Injury on WWE RAW

Liv Morgan revealed that the fallout from her hard head-to-head collision with Roxanne Perez on the April 6 episode of WWE Raw went well beyond the large, visible hematoma on her forehead.

During a backstage attack that night, Stephanie Vaquer shoved Morgan into Perez, causing the two Judgment Day members to knock heads.

As previously reported, both women were placed in concussion protocol. Morgan recovered in time for WrestleMania 42, where she defeated Vaquer to win the Women’s World Championship.

Morgan told The Undertaker and Michelle McCool on a recent episode of Six Feet Under that she waited six to seven months for the hematoma to go away on its own. When it did not, she had the spot treated with two steroid injections.

“We did two steroid injections, and the hematoma does go away, but it left like a divot in my head because the steroids ate the fat. Just this week, I pretty much had a fat graft. It’s not lypo, but in my mind, I had lypo and then they just put it in my head.

“Now it’s gonna take a couple of weeks to smooth it out. In three months we’ll know if I need another one because your body only restores 50% of the fat. But it was pretty much this long process that no one has known about that I’ve been internally struggling with. It looks better. We’re on the mend.”

The injections cleared up the hematoma, but they also ate away at the fat there and left a small dent in her forehead. To fill in the dent, Morgan underwent a fat graft this week, with doctors harvesting fat from her abdomen through her belly button and transferring it to her forehead through her hairline.

The area will need a few more weeks to even out, Morgan said, and she will know in about three months whether she needs a second graft.

Even as she went through all of this, Morgan stayed active in WWE. Her title reign, which began at WrestleMania, ended on September 12 in Chile, when Vaquer won back the Women’s World Championship with Becky Lynch serving as the special guest referee.

Morgan will get her shot at reclaiming the title at Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10, in a Triple Threat Match against Vaquer and Lynch.
