Logan Paul’s return to the WWE ring is still not confirmed, but he gave a big sign of progress this Friday, July 17, during Fanatics Fest NYC at the Javits Center in New York City.
Paul appeared in public without the brace he’d been wearing on his right arm since undergoing surgery to repair his torn triceps. His appearance at the event, however, had already been announced by WWE, and it doesn’t by itself represent medical clearance for him to return to the ring.
The physical progress is real. In an update posted in recent days, Paul revealed he’s already been cleared to take off the brace, has regained between 60 and 70 degrees of motion, and is running about three months ahead of his original recovery schedule.
Even so, during an activity at Fanatics Fest, Paul held back from throwing a full-power punch at a machine. He didn’t want to risk his healthy arm while he’s still recovering the other one.
The injury happened during a World Tag Team Championship defense alongside Austin Theory against The Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May. After having surgery, Paul revealed doctors had projected a recovery of about six months.
That he’s no longer wearing the brace suggests his return could come sooner than expected, but it doesn’t mean he’s already cleared to compete.
So far, neither WWE nor Logan Paul has announced a return date. A new TV appearance could happen at any time, but treating him as cleared to wrestle would still be premature.
