Ludwig Kaiser has received a new update in his legal case in Florida, where he is facing a battery charge tied to an alleged incident in April.

According to Fightful, Kaiser’s defense, under his real name Marcel Barthel, filed a motion on June 16 to obtain surveillance footage from the location where the alleged incident took place. The request was not opposed by the state.

On Wednesday, June 25, Orange County Judge Andrew Cameron granted the request and authorized the subpoena to be issued for the footage.

“Any and all recordings from videotape surveillance of the 12th Floor including the elevator and all areas surrounding the elevator on or about April 23, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.”

The case stems from an alleged incident at the Paramount on Lake Eola Apartments in Orlando. Kaiser was accused of attacking Richard Reap following an argument near the building’s elevator.

Kaiser was arrested on May 20, posted $1,000 bond, and pleaded not guilty to the charge. His defense maintains that he intends to appear for all required court hearings.

Despite the case, Kaiser has been cleared to travel within the United States and internationally for work, as long as he appears in person for future court dates.

He is currently still appearing on WWE and AAA programming as El Grande Americano. The next pretrial conference is scheduled for July 16.
