Tony Khan was asked about the possibility of Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, formerly Xavier Woods, signing with AEW in the near future.
During the press conference after ROH Supercard of Honor, Khan avoided making any direct comments, saying the two still have contractual obligations after leaving WWE. The AEW president said he believes that, at this point, he may not even be allowed to speak with them.
“I don’t think I should comment on wrestlers who still have a contractual obligation. From what I understand, I believe they are still obligated, and I don’t believe I’m allowed to talk to them. So, I don’t think it’s right to comment on them under those circumstances, other than to say I think they’re great wrestlers.”

TK says he can't comment because New Day are still under their 90-day non compete so he cannot talk to them contractually.

Kingston and Creed left WWE in early May after turning down a contract restructuring proposed by TKO. According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, the duo’s contracts were not close to expiring, but both were granted their release and are now serving a 90-day non-compete clause.
Despite Khan’s public caution, AEW’s interest appears to be strong. According to Fightful Select, several key names within the company are pushing for the duo to be signed once they are free to negotiate.
In the meantime, Kingston and Creed already have their first public appearance scheduled after leaving WWE, at GalaxyCon Oklahoma City on May 23 and 24.
