Netflix Censors 946 Segment on WWE RAW Again

Netflix made significant cuts to the on-demand version of this week’s RAW, removing the most violent moments of the attack on Jacob Fatu that closed the show.

On the live broadcast, Royce Keys hit Fatu with a car door during the brawl between 946 and The Bloodline. Shortly afterward, Jaida Parker appeared behind the wheel of another vehicle and ran Fatu over.

The replay available on Netflix, however, cuts to a black screen when the door connects and again when Fatu is hit by the vehicle, while the audio continues to play normally. The edited version also ends a few seconds earlier than the original broadcast, apparently cutting out the crowd’s applause after the segment.

As previously reported, Parker revealed her alliance with Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price right after running Fatu over.

This is not the first time a segment involving 946 has been censored. During the attack on Jimmy and Jey Uso weeks ago, Netflix blurred the blood on their faces, and Triple H later posted the uncut version on social media.

At the time, WrestleVotes Radio also reported that some people in WWE’s post-production department felt their hands were tied by Netflix’s restrictions.

Netflix vice president Gabe Spitzer recently said that discussions with WWE about blood and profanity are infrequent.

“Not often. Obviously, there are ratings standards that anyone has to adhere to. We’re Netflix, and we try to be a little looser on that.”

WWE and Netflix have yet to give a specific reason for the cuts made to the end of this week’s RAW.
