Paige emphasized that she will keep fighting for TV time in WWE, both for herself and the rest of the women’s division. She will do that even if it makes her a problem for WWE at times.
Paige recently told Metro UK that she is grateful for her return, but that doesn’t mean she will sit back and accept any cuts to her TV time.
“I do appreciate every single second that I get to be on TV and in that ring,” Paige said. “And the fact that I managed to return after eight years, I am so grateful for that.”
“But that doesn’t mean I won’t put my foot down when it comes to TV time.”
Paige admitted that she is aware of how her approach is viewed within WWE.
“The more, the merrier with them on TV,” Paige said. “They work their ass off. The men work their ass off too, but you know how it is.”
“I am vocal, and this time around I’m always gonna be that person. I think WWE knows that already. And I feel like they love me for it. At the same time, it might be a pain in the ass to deal with me sometimes!”
This comes nearly three months after WWE cut Paige’s segment from the August 14 SmackDown in Boston. The promo, which featured her response to the Bella Twins attacking her at SummerSlam, was posted only to WWE’s social media after the show.
Back in 2019, as the manager of the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), Paige complained in public about the team’s lack of WWE TV time.
On Wednesday, Paige wrestled her first NXT match in more than a decade. Kelani Jordan beat her to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.
