Randy Orton has promised that he will return to WWE and emphasized that he isn’t retiring anytime soon.
Orton addressed his future on X on Sunday, a day after he lost to Cody Rhodes in a Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Orton responded to a fan who was disappointed by the loss and said they were willing to wait for his return.
“Whether it’s sooner, or later, I’ll be back,” Orton wrote. “Guaranteed. WWE is my home away from home. I still have more to do, and until I am unable, I will continue to keep doing it.”
Rhodes ended Saturday’s match with a punt kick, Orton’s own move, and Orton couldn’t get to his feet before the referee’s 10 count.
But it’s still unclear when Orton will return. Orton has dealt with a back injury this year, which took him off WWE TV following WrestleMania 42.
Rhodes has won two of their three singles matches this year. Orton lost to Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 in April and beat him at SummerSlam in August.
