Rare Stipulation Added to Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater at TNA Lockdown

Leon Slater will get another shot at the TNA X Division Championship at Lockdown, but a loss could wipe the biggest title reign of his career from the company’s record books.

On Thursday’s iMPACT, Slater confronted Cedric Alexander after helping Ricky Sosa pick up a win over Brian Myers. The former champion once again pushed for a title match, making it clear he would accept any conditions to get the opportunity.

Alexander accepted the challenge but attached a stipulation: if he wins, Slater’s entire previous reign as X Division Champion gets erased from TNA’s records, as if it never happened. Slater agreed to the terms, making it official.

The stipulation carries serious weight given the reign on the line. Slater held the X Division Championship for 298 days, tying Austin Aries for the longest reign in the title’s history.

Slater previously attempted to win the title back at Slammiversary but came up short, as Alexander won the Ultimate X Match that also featured Amazing Red, Fabian Aichner, Frankie Kazarian, KC Navarro, and Mr. Elegance.

Lockdown returns after a ten-year hiatus and will be held at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois, with every match taking place inside a steel cage.
