According to Fightful Select, TNA is close to finalizing a deal with Ohio Valley Wrestling that would essentially make OVW a developmental system for TNA.
The talks aren’t new. PWInsider first reported in June that the goal was to turn OVW into a developmental territory for TNA. TNA President Carlos Silva also attended several OVW shows while negotiations were ongoing.
OVW CEO Rob Edwards told Cultaholic that the arrangement could extend well beyond just developing talent. Edwards said the talks have covered TV time for talent, development in and out of the ring, use of OVW’s extensive content library, and sharing resources and business opportunities between the two promotions.
The two sides have already started working together ahead of any formal announcement. On July 19, OVW’s Independence Rage aired live and free on TNA+.

This wouldn’t be the first time TNA and OVW have partnered up. OVW served as TNA’s developmental territory from 2011 to 2013, and the two had another working relationship in 2019.
For now, neither company has announced that a deal has officially been signed.
