Roman Reigns’ absence has been a major topic of discussion in recent weeks, especially after the ambush he suffered at WWE Clash in Paris, right after his victory over Bronson Reed.
In a new update from Wrestling Observer Radio, Reigns will be stepping away from WWE programming.
According to Dave Meltzer, WWE used the attack orchestrated by Bron Breakker and Reed purely as a creative device to write him off television for approximately four weeks due to the Street Fighter movie.
With its premiere scheduled for October 16, 2026, the feature film will also feature another heavyweight from the main roster.
Cody Rhodes, the current Undisputed WWE Champion, is already confirmed in the production’s cast and will bring the character Guile to life, reinforcing the transition of the company’s stars to Hollywood.
