Roman Reigns Names His Pro Wrestling Mount Rushmore

Roman Reigns has revealed who he considers the four greatest names in pro wrestling history, basing his picks strictly on money.

Speaking on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Reigns put Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and John Cena on his Mount Rushmore.

Reigns said neither match quality nor the number of championships won is a deciding factor in the debate. For him, what really matters is how much money each one drew. He traced that view to his father, Sika, who always taught him to look at wrestling as a business.

“This ring is only about money. It’s a business.”

Sharpe also asked Reigns to pick just one of the four as the greatest of all time. Reigns acknowledged Austin’s popularity and The Rock’s rapid rise but ultimately went with Hogan.

Reigns based the decision on Hogan’s role in turning pro wrestling into a product with worldwide reach. He also pointed to Austin’s merchandise sales, saying few have matched that level of commercial popularity.

“Hulk also took us from a carnival to a global product.”

The list marks a change from what Reigns said in a 2020 interview on the Load Management podcast. At the time, he named The Undertaker among his first choices and put Hogan and Cena on a similar level.

This time, Hogan and Cena both made the list, while The Undertaker was left off.
