Comedian and social media personality Matt Mathews will make a special appearance on tonight’s WWE RAW. The September 7 show takes place at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, and airs at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix.
Mathews’ appearance was announced ahead of the show, though WWE has not said exactly what his role will be.
The pick also has a direct connection to the host city. Mathews was born and raised in Birmingham and is best known for his comedy videos about life on his farm. He also currently works as a comedian and musician.

2:31 PM · Sep 7, 2026This won’t be his first appearance on WWE programming. On June 23, Mathews was on NXT alongside Hank & Tank for their match against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors. He got involved at ringside and helped Hank Walker and Tank Ledger pick up the win.
Monday’s RAW, however, will be his first confirmed appearance on the red brand.
