Aalyah Mysterio’s possible in-ring debut could open the door for a very familiar story involving Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan.
During Rey Mysterio’s recent appearance on Six Feet Under with The Undertaker and Michelle McCool, the conversation turned to Aalyah potentially entering the pro-wrestling world. According to Rey, his daughter has already gone through a period of training in Orlando and is now preparing to establish herself at the WWE Performance Center. As of now, however, there has been no confirmation that she has signed a developmental contract with WWE.
That is where The Undertaker floated an interesting idea: Rey and Aalyah Mysterio against Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio in AAA.
The suggestion makes sense for several reasons. Rey is also currently serving as AAA General Manager, something he described as a “full-circle” moment, since the Mexican promotion played an important role in the early part of his career back in the 1990s.
On top of that, the story between Rey and Dominik remains one of WWE’s strongest family rivalries in recent years. Liv Morgan’s presence on Dominik’s side also already has direct history against Rey.
Rey, meanwhile, admitted on the podcast that sharing the ring with Dominik and Aalyah at the same time would be historic. The Hall of Famer noted that he already made history by winning the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Dominik, but wrestling with both his son and daughter in the same match would be a rare moment for a traditional pro-wrestling family.
Should the idea ever move forward, AAA would be a logical stage for it. The promotion has been used to expand stories involving WWE names, and Rey Mysterio has already announced that the AAA Mega Championship will be defended on the second night of TripleMania in September.
As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding a match involving Aalyah Mysterio. Still, The Undertaker’s suggestion stands out because it brings together three strong elements: AAA’s new phase, Aalyah’s rise, and the family rivalry between Rey and Dominik.
The question now is whether WWE and AAA will move the idea forward, especially if Aalyah truly begins her official in-ring career in the coming months.
