WWE may be using its recently announced live events as a test run to determine whether it will bring back house shows on a larger scale.
The company officially announced 10 dates for its 2026 Summer Tour, with events running from July 11 through August 30 in cities including Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Allentown, Stockton, Bakersfield, Fairfax, Manchester, Savannah and Charleston.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE will be watching this new slate closely. A broader expansion will depend on ticket sales, how talent responds to being back on the road, and the risk of injuries.
The topic had already been gaining traction internally. During a recent Town Hall, Triple H and Nick Khan reportedly explained that live events are important because they give younger talent a chance to gain experience and test ideas away from television.
WWE also reportedly stressed that it wants to balance established names with developing talent, specifically to avoid putting too much wear and tear on the roster.
TKO had previously scaled back that schedule significantly. In 2024, Mark Shapiro said WWE was moving toward reducing its annual schedule from roughly 300 events in 2023 to around 200 in 2025.
At this point, WWE has not officially confirmed a full-scale house show expansion or a return to that larger schedule of non-televised events. However, the performance of this Summer Tour is expected to carry significant weight in the company’s next steps.
