WWE has decided to bolster the next run of NXT live events with three well-known names from the main roster.
During this Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Bayley, Penta, and Grayson Waller will appear at the upcoming non-televised events for the developmental brand. The information was confirmed by several international outlets.
The run kicks off on Friday, May 15, in Buffalo, New York. From there, NXT heads to Canton, Ohio, on Saturday the 16th, before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday, May 17, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
The biggest highlight is Penta, the current Intercontinental Champion, who has been one of the most featured names on Monday Night RAW since WrestleMania. The luchador is currently in a rivalry with Ethan Page, who was recently called up from NXT to the main roster.

Bayley, meanwhile, hinted on social media that she plans to use the appearances to scout NXT talent, especially after John Cena announced the John Cena Classic concept at Backlash. The former champion said that when Cena creates an opportunity for developmental talent to be seen, it’s time to start scouting.
Waller also stands out as he returns to the NXT environment — the brand where he made a name for himself before moving up to the main roster.
It remains to be seen whether these will be one-off special appearances or if WWE plans to use the events to test future interactions between RAW, SmackDown, and NXT talent.
