WWE will have a considerably smaller crowd than usual for tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown taping at The O2 Arena in London.
According to WrestleTix, the latest update lists 6,460 tickets distributed for the show. That number is up 2,311 tickets from the previous update on June 15, but it is still well below WWE’s usual standard in the United Kingdom.
The most direct comparison is Monday Night RAW, which was held yesterday at the same venue. For the red brand’s show, 13,328 tickets were distributed, with the setup configured for 13,595 fans and only 267 seats available.
Just under 6.5k fans are expected for SmackDown tonight in London.

One factor that may help explain the lower demand is that tonight’s SmackDown will not air live in the United States. The episode will be taped in London on Tuesday, but will air on Friday in its usual USA Network time slot, along with the international broadcast on Netflix.
WWE still tried to create an added incentive for fans in attendance. The O2 Arena confirmed that after SmackDown, fans will be able to stay inside the venue to watch England vs. Ghana in the FIFA World Cup on WWE’s screens.
Advertised for tonight are Kiana James vs. Giulia and Paige vs. Jacy Jayne, two matches focused on the women’s division. WWE is also expected to continue building toward Night of Champions, which will take place next Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
