Tiffany Stratton was at the center of one of the most dangerous moments at WWE Money in the Bank on Saturday night in New Orleans, Louisiana, when she took a frightening fall from the top of a ladder.
During the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Stratton went for a Swanton Bomb onto her opponents outside the ring but landed hard on her head and neck. WWE medical staff checked on her right away.
Bryan Alvarez broke down the spot on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and pointed to a serious mistake in how the move was executed.
“They set the ladder up like this [sideways], and instead of jumping the direction of the legs so the ladder doesn’t move, she jumped off the side.”
Alvarez also explained why none of the other wrestlers could break her fall.
“No one could have caught her because they were expecting her to go out, but you can’t go out when you jump off that side.”
Alvarez compared the incident to a similar one involving Charly Manson, who nearly died because of a botched jump.
Despite the scare, Stratton was able to continue and went on to win the briefcase, beating Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne.
The win was Stratton’s second at Money in the Bank. Her first came in 2024, and she later cashed in on Nia Jax to win the WWE Women’s Championship in January 2025.
