WWE NXT (09/15/26) Live Results – No. 1 Contender’s Match, Myles Borne’s Apology, More!

This Tuesday night, WWE will host another live edition of NXT, straight from Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the highlights announced for the show below:

  • Tony D’Angelo vs. Mason Rook vs. Saquon Shugars – NXT Championship – #1 Contender’s Match;
  • Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy vs. DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin);
  • Lizzy Rain vs. Kali Armstrong;
  • Myles Borne to issue a public apology to Tavion Heights;

Results:

Vic Joseph and Booker T welcome viewers as pre-show footage shows Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook, and Saquon Shugars arriving.

Lizzy Rain and Kali Armstrong then make their entrances for the opening match.

Kali Armstrong vs. Lizzy Rain
– Rain lands a top-rope hurricanrana, only for Armstrong to answer with a powerslam. Rain fires back with a headbutt, but Armstrong puts her away with the Kali Connection.

After the bell, Skylar Raye jumps Kali Armstrong until referees pull them apart.

Grayson Waller is shown running on a treadmill before Sean Legacy tells Dorian Van Dux that Robert Stone has a major announcement coming for NXT’s tag team division. Van Dux says they intend to be involved, prompting BirthRight to stake its claim to the NXT Tag Team Championship. Lexis King tells them to step aside, saying NXT’s top spot is BirthRight’s to claim, but Van Dux says they aren’t backing down.

DarkState head to the ring for the next match, followed by Legacy and Van Dux.

Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux vs. DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Cutler James)
– Legacy takes out James and Griffin with suicide dives before Van Dux connects with a moonsault. Van Dux follows up with a Shooting Star Press off the top, but James breaks the pin. The action breaks down with all four men trading shots. Dion Lennox interferes behind the ref’s back, taking out Van Dux. DarkState capitalizes, planting Van Dux with a slam to pick up the victory.

Post-match, BirthRight hits the ring to cut a promo, with Connors taking credit for taking out Zilla Fatu and Stacks putting the locker room on notice. They jump Legacy and Van Dux until Fatu makes the save, closing out the segment with a Triple Z on Dempsey.

Skylar Raye asks Robert Stone for an opportunity. Myles Borne interrupts, saying he plans to apologize to Tavion Heights in the ring.

ZARIA is cleared but advised to take it easy for a few weeks. Izzi Dame mocks her over the shoulder injury Thea Hail caused.

Myles Borne calls out Tavion Heights and apologizes, saying fear took over after he lost his titles. Heights questions whether he can trust Borne, who reminds him that he forgave Heights for forcing him into a title defense. Heights acknowledges putting Borne in a tough spot and accepts the apology.

They hug before Borne turns on Heights, hitting Borne Again and driving him through the ringside barricade screen. Back in the ring, Borne traps Heights’ ankle in a chair and stomps on the chair.

Kendal Grey isn’t cleared due to vertigo, though Dr. Smith rules out a concussion. There’s no return timetable, and Smith recommends rest and a sports psychologist.

EK Prosper and Cruz Montana head to the ring, followed by The Vanity Project.

WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) vs. Cruz Montana and EK Prosper
– Jackson Drake attacks Montana and gets ejected. Smokes catches Prosper with a backslide for the win.

Kelani Jordan boasts about her NXT Women’s Championship reign and RAW debut. La Catalina interrupts to celebrate her Reina de Reinas Championship win before ZARIA joins them, claiming she’s WWE’s most dominant champion and dismissing Thea Hail’s attack as a fluke.

Hail comes out and vows to regain the NXT Women’s North American Championship. All four brawl, with the babyfaces standing tall.

Robert Stone brings back the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with 14 teams from AAA, NXT, EVOLVE, RAW and SmackDown. The bracket drops later this week, with two first-round matches kicking off the tournament next week. The Creed Brothers vow to win it again.

Saquon Shugars, Tony D’Angelo and Mason Rook enter for the main event.

WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Mason Rook vs. Saquon Shugars
– Shugars brawls with Angels at ringside while Rook pins D’Angelo in the ring following a Blue Thunder Bomb and a top-rope Super Splash for the win.

Holding the NXT Championship, Grayson Waller enters the ring and stares down Rook as the show ends.
