WWE Planning Big Surprises for AAA TripleMania 34

TripleMania 34 could see WWE spring some surprises this weekend, especially on night two.

WWE could be planning big surprises for AAA TripleMania 34, AAA’s biggest annual event, set for September 11 and 13 in Las Vegas and Mexico City.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, WWE has some unexpected elements planned for the show, especially for night two. WWE hasn’t revealed details on what might happen yet.

This year’s event will be historic for AAA. For the first time, TripleMania will take place over two nights and in two different countries. Night one will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while night two takes place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

The original plans were different. According to earlier reporting from WrestleVotes Radio, TripleMania 34 was set to take place over one night, on Saturday, September 12. The split happened to bring AAA to Las Vegas the same week as a major Zuffa Boxing event, with TV executives in town.

Night two currently has three major title matches confirmed. Dominik Mysterio will defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano, while Rey Fenix puts the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Mini Vikingo, Nathan Frazer and Jack Cartwheel. Flammer will also defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against La Catalina.

TripleMania 33 drew 19,691 fans to Arena CDMX and became the most-watched, highest-grossing edition in the event’s history. This year’s night one also had to be moved to the MGM Grand Garden Arena due to high ticket demand.
