Roman Reigns, who recently won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk at WWE WrestleMania 42, already has his first challenger in WWE.
On this Monday’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the new world champion came to the ring alongside Jey and Jimmy Uso. The brothers have reunited and are now officially aligned with the “Tribal Chief” once again, but the segment was interrupted by the arrival of Jacob Fatu.
Fatu, coming off a huge win over Drew McIntyre in an Unsanctioned Match at the Showcase of Immortals, made it clear he has no interest in taking over as the leader of the family.
His focus, however, is entirely on Reigns’ title and the status that comes with being champion, even coveting his financial lifestyle — cars, watches, private jet, and the like.
Fatu then issued a challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Backlash, the premium live event set to take place on May 9.
Reigns, for his part, chose not to accept the match right away. The OTC questioned whether Fatu would really be ready to handle the pressure of carrying the company on his back.
As we previously reported here at Wrestling Noticias, Reigns and Fatu have never faced each other in a singles match in WWE.
