Rhea Ripley, who captured the WWE Women’s Championship by defeating Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42, made her final appearance on last night’s RAW.
With the title win, which is exclusive to Friday Night SmackDown, The Eradicator will now permanently join the blue brand roster, which ultimately led to the end of her team with IYO SKY.
However, before finally going their separate ways, Ripley and SKY teamed up one more time to face Asuka and Kairi Sane. The duo picked up the win after Ripley hit Asuka with a Riptide, setting up SKY to land a Moonsault for the pinfall.
Backstage, SKY and Rhea shared a very emotional moment, officially marking the end of their team.
Ripley said the following:
“I guess that’s it. Let’s just try not to make it forever, okay? You handle your business here, and I will go be the champion that SmackDown needs.”
Ripley is expected to make her debut as champion on the next episode of Friday Night SmackDown, kicking off her reign heading into WWE’s upcoming premium live events.
