Mark Davis is back on AEW programming after being sidelined for nearly a month due to issues renewing his U.S. work visa.

The reigning National Champion resurfaced on this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, appearing during the Don Callis Family segment after Kyle Fletcher won the AEW International Championship. Davis hadn’t wrestled on TV since June 3, when he fell to Will Ospreay in the semifinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

He’ll return to in-ring action this Saturday on AEW Collision, live from Roanoke, Virginia, putting his title on the line against “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

Despite being unable to work in the United States, Davis stayed active elsewhere. The Don Callis Family member defended his title twice for RevPro, against Joe Lando and Man Like DeReiss. His last match before the visa issue was a defense against Ace Austin at a ROH taping.

The documentation problems also hit The Beast Mortos, Komander, Hechicero and Gabe Kidd, directly affecting AEW’s plans for Forbidden Door. At the time, Tony Khan described the situation as an enormous challenge.

There’s still no timetable for the other wrestlers’ return to the country. Kidd remains active in Japan, where he recently won the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, while Mortos, Komander and Hechicero continue making appearances in Mexico.
