Mike Santana appears to be very close to wrapping up his time with TNA and beginning a new chapter in WWE.
According to PWInsider, Santana finished up his TNA commitments at Slammiversary, which took place Sunday in Boston. His current contract is set to expire in the coming days, and the expectation is that he will be free to sign with WWE once there are no remaining contractual hurdles.
Santana is not scheduled for the TNA iMPACT! tapings in Albany, New York, further adding to the sense that his departure is coming.
The move comes shortly after Santana lost the TNA World Championship to Nic Nemeth in the main event of Slammiversary. Ryan Nemeth interfered in the match, Nic hit Santana with the Call Your Shot trophy, and then finished him off with the Danger Zone to begin his second world title reign in the company.

Santana returned to TNA in April 2024 after leaving AEW and quickly established himself as one of the company’s top singles stars. In October 2025, at Bound for Glory, he defeated Trick Williams to win the TNA World Championship for the first time, in what was treated as one of the biggest moments of his career.
A move to WWE would not be completely unfamiliar to the company’s audience. During the WWE-TNA partnership, Santana appeared on NXT while still TNA World Champion, leading OTM to a win over DarkState on the March 31 episode.
Before his singles run, Santana was best known alongside Ortiz, both in TNA as part of LAX and in AEW as Proud & Powerful.
