Bryan Danielson remains connected to AEW, even though he’s been off television for the past several weeks and hasn’t been a regular presence on the Dynamite commentary team.
According to Fightful Select, the former AEW World Champion is still contributing directly to the creative team. How often he’s traveling to shows, though, isn’t clear, largely because of physical issues that have made travel more difficult.
Danielson became a full-time member of the Dynamite commentary team on September 10, 2025, following a handful of special appearances at Forbidden Door and the Continental Classic. Earlier in 2026, Tony Khan had already explained that the constant travel was taking a toll on Danielson’s neck, prompting AEW to scale back his schedule.
Bryan Danielson is still with AEW and he still contributes creatively for the company.

The American Dragon wrapped up his full-time in-ring career at WrestleDream 2024, when he dropped the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley. Since then, he’s wrestled just one eight-second match against Max Caster, along with a return at All In: Texas 2025 to help “Hangman” Adam Page against the Death Riders.
So far, there’s no confirmation of a new match. Still, this update pushes back on rumors of a possible departure and reinforces that Danielson remains one of Tony Khan’s top voices backstage in AEW.
