AEW may have finished 2025 with the strongest financial result in company history, driven largely by its new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery.
Because Tony Khan’s company does not release public financial statements, the numbers remain estimates. However, analysis from the pro-wrestling business side has projected AEW’s annual revenue at somewhere between $244 million and $269 million.
That would mark a major jump from 2024, when the company’s revenue was estimated at roughly $168 million. In other words, the new WBD deal appears to have moved AEW into a completely different financial tier.
The key factor is the agreement that went into effect in January 2025. The deal kept AEW Dynamite on TBS and AEW Collision on TNT, while also bringing both shows to Max for live streaming in the United States.

Net Profit: Projections by wrestling business analysts (such as the Wrestling Observer…
The value of the deal has varied depending on the source. Sports Business Journal estimated it at $170 million per year, while Variety reported $185 million annually. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio also reported an average value of $185 million per year, as part of a three-year package worth $555 million.
With that in place, projections cited in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that AEW could generate between $61 million and $76 million in profit in 2025.
That potential profit does not necessarily mean every part of the business has fully rebounded. In 2024, AEW still dealt with declines in areas such as weekly attendance and fan-driven revenue streams.
Even so, the media deal changed the company’s financial picture in a major way. AEW remains heavily dependent on WBD, but now has a guaranteed revenue base that could keep the promotion profitable for at least the current contract cycle.
