Amazing Red won the TNA X-Division Championship for the fourth time on Sunday, coming out on top in a seven-way scramble at Bound for Glory.
Red hit KC Navarro with the Code Red for the win, ending a stretch of more than 16 years without the title.
Red’s entry into the match was announced during his TNA Hall of Fame induction speech, with Frankie Kazarian handling the induction. The match was originally scheduled with six competitors and became a seven-way after the announcement.
Red’s previous reign ended on September 25, 2010, when he lost the title to Jay Lethal. After the match, Kazarian met Red on the ramp to congratulate him.
The title had been vacant since Leon Slater invoked Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship.
Bound for Glory is taking place on Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
